Mr. Jachan Omach is a focused leader. He holds a B.A (Hon) in Economics and Social Administration from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. Additionally, he has attended a number of courses/trainings in International Law, Corporate Governance, Banking and Finance, Treasury and management, Small Industry Financing, Advanced Leadership. Prior to that he served as the Minister of State for Finance (General Duties) from 6th June 2003 to 30th June 2016. He has 25 years all round experience in senior managerial positions in financial institutions. He served on various committees in the Pan African and Uganda Parliament. He served as a Director on the Board of Centenary Bank formerly known as Centenary Rural Development Bank. He worked with Uganda Commercial Bank and Ministry of Public Service in the Government of Uganda. It is on this note and great pleasure that he brings all this wealth of experience in management, policy and leadership to chair the UDN Board of Directors and stear UDN advocacy work for the poor and marginalized people to participate in influencing poverty-focused policies, demand for their rights and monitor service delivery to ensure prudent, accountable and transparent resource generation and utilization in Uganda.
